Front Office Trade Floor Support Analyst

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Front Office Trade Support Analyst to join a growing business with global reach. As the successful applicant, you will have an opportunity to support the Cash Equities trading business and work with Traders in a fast paced, client facing environment.

In addition, you will also be involved in Operational project work ranging from application and exchange upgrades, disaster recovery planning and execution to Operational process improvement and efficiencies

Your role will sit within our Commodities and Global Markets business, which is the global Equities operating group within Macquarie and is a core business. Our Flow Markets team provides full-service institutional cash equities brokerage services covering sales, electronic, high touch and program trading activities.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with business stakeholders to deliver prompt responses to queries. Working on the trade floor you will support key cash execution platforms including vendor products Fidessa, IRESS, iBroker and other large scale, internal systems.

You'll also be pro-active in process improvement/automation to resolve regular operational issues, as well as work with Product Vendors, Exchanges, Data providers and other service providers to facilitate product upgrades. Working closely with the global Enterprise teams we participate in a follow-the sun support model.

You will need to bring the following technical skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a previous Front Office Support role
  • experience working with execution & trading platforms - exposure to Fidessa & IRESS is highly regarded
  • good knowledge of Windows Server, Unix and SQL
  • knowledge of Order lifecycles to support Trading products
  • basic understanding of Electronic Execution and FIX protocol
  • pro-active in approach as well as possessing problem solving ability
  • display strong customer service focus and the ability to deliver quality support.
