A leading Australian university is undertaking a significant Workforce Management transformation to establish an integrated approach to workforce planning, academic workload allocation, scheduling, time and attendance, and compliance assurance. The program will introduce standardised processes, integrated technology and strengthened governance across a complex workforce environment.
Your new role
As the HR Data and Integration Lead, you will establish the HR data governance, ownership and data management capabilities required to support the Workforce Management program and broader workforce planning outcomes.
Reporting to the HR Program Director and HR Business Owner, you will lead the HR Data Governance and Quality workstream and translate business data requirements into practical governance, ownership and data quality improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and establishing the HR data governance and ownership model
• Defining data owners, stewards, decision rights, standards and issue-resolution pathways
• Leading the Workforce Management data quality uplift and augmentation plan
• Coordinating data profiling, cleansing, validation and enrichment activities
• Building sustainable HR data management routines, controls and accountabilities
• Aligning HR data requirements with data models, integrations and architecture decisions
• Supporting technology procurement, solution evaluation, migration and implementation readiness
• Partnering with HR, workforce planning, ICT, enterprise data teams, faculties and external vendors
• Establishing arrangements to transition data governance and quality management into business-as-usual operations

What you'll need to succeed

• Establishing HR data governance, ownership, stewardship and decision-making models
• Leading data quality assessment, remediation, cleansing and augmentation initiatives
• Working with HR, workforce planning, payroll, organisational or other people-related data
• Translating business data requirements into practical integration and architecture outcomes
• Designing sustainable operating models, controls and governance routines
• Supporting enterprise technology procurement, data migration, testing and deployment
• Engaging senior leaders, data owners, subject-matter experts and technology teams
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex dependencies across enterprise programs
• A degree in Human Resources, Data Management, Information Systems, Business, Analytics, Workforce Planning or a related discipline is required, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Relevant data governance, HR technology, analytics, architecture, project or change qualifications will be viewed favourably.
