Securitisation Consultant - Platform Implementation

Morgan McKinley Sydney, Australia
The company

Join one of Australia's leading financial institutions as it embarks on a significant transformation of its Treasury securitisation technology landscape.

Renowned for its strong market presence, innovative approach and investment in technology, this organisation is implementing a new securitisation platform to modernise a critical business capability. Joining at the early stages of the implementation, you'll have the opportunity to shape the design, delivery and long-term success of this high-profile program.

If you're an experienced securitisation specialist who enjoys solving complex business and data challenges while influencing senior stakeholders, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.

The role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Securitisation Consultant to join a major securitisation platform implementation on an initial 6-month contract.

Working closely with business, technology and vendor teams, you'll be the senior subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance throughout the implementation of a new platform replacing legacy systems.

This is a highly analytical role requiring deep expertise across Treasury securitisation, structured funding and complex data. You'll play a key role in shaping the overall implementation approach, advising on platform configuration, end-to-end data mapping, architecture, integration design and risk management.

A key focus of the role will be ensuring the platform captures, transforms and delivers the right securitisation data to support trust management, funding activities and regulatory reporting requirements, including submissions to the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).

We're looking for someone who has successfully led, or played a senior role in, a securitisation platform implementation and who has the technical depth, commercial acumen and gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and drive successful project outcomes.

Ideal skills and experience

To be successful, you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in Treasury securitisation within banking or financial services
  • Proven experience leading, or playing a senior role in, a securitisation platform implementation
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end securitisation lifecycle, including structured funding, trust management and funding optimisation
  • Strong knowledge of residential mortgage products and the end-to-end mortgage lifecycle, including origination, servicing, collateral management and loan cashflows
  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end data mapping, data modelling, integration design and complex data flow solutions
  • Deep understanding of securitisation data and the data required to support regulatory reporting, particularly RBA reporting. Exposure to investor reporting and ESMA reporting will be highly regarded
  • Strong analytical capability, including interpreting complex data structures, resolving data quality issues and managing data transformation and reconciliation activities
  • SQL skills and experience working with common data models (CDM/CDE)
  • Sound understanding of accounting treatment for lending products, including loan movements, balances, accruals and cashflow recognition
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility and confidence to engage senior business and technology stakeholders
What's in it for you
  • Join a major securitisation platform implementation from the beginning of the project
  • Play a highly visible, strategic role where your expertise will directly influence the success of a business-critical program
  • Work alongside experienced business, technology and vendor teams on a large-scale transformation
  • Apply your specialist securitisation expertise to a complex and rewarding implementation project
  • Excellent day rate on offer
  • Initial 6-month contract with an immediate start
  • Sydney CBD location and flexible hybrid working environment
