Solution Delivery Manager
Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

The Solution Delivery Manager manages the development and implementation of IT Solutions, including infrastructure and applications, and manages changes to the Groups operating environment to minimise adverse impacts

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team leadership and people management including structuring IT solution delivery teams to incorporate required skills from Commbank team members and delivery partners
  • Develop robust and achievable work and project plans, including management of scope, cost, time, and project risk
  • Track and manage IT solution delivery activities, and identify and develop mitigation strategies to manage interdependencies between solution components
  • Manage all aspects of the solution delivery life cycle from project initiation, through planning, execution to project closure
  • Effectively manage relationships with IT delivery teams, and facilitate collaboration between those teams (including external providers)
  • Oversee the production and delivery of solution components from solution delivery teams including vendors and third party suppliers, manage risks and issues and develop effective mitigation strategies for same
  • Manage the aggregate change to the Groups operating environment for the systems impacted by the project such that the level of change introduces no additional or unnecessary risk
  • Execute the Change Management processes in order to introduce technology change to the Groups operating environment, and ensure that all changes are managed such that the stability of the environment is maintained
  • Track, manage and report expenditure, against the baseline, budgets and forecasts whilst monitoring variances within Solution Delivery accountability
  • Ensure technology solutions are aligned with Groups architecture
  • Develop and deliver effective communication materials for various audience groups
  • Provide timely and accurate reports for management and other solution governance groups
  • Comply with solution delivery tools, processes and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Use the Group's people management systems and policies to effectively manage people and complete all required people management activities as directed by the Group or Line Manager
