This role is open across Germany. We are looking for suitable profiles nationwide.
Thanks to our flexible working models and project-based setup, you can be based anywhere in Germany. Travel requirements depend on client needs and project phases, not on proximity to a specific office location.

As an Associate Partner in our Core Banking Avaloq practice, you will take a pivotal leadership role in shaping, steering, and overarching delivery of complex core banking transformation, modernization, and digitalization programs for top-tier financial institutions in Germany. You will bridge C-level business strategy, banking operations, and Avaloq technology architectures.
Beyond program execution, you will be end-to-end accountable for driving Business Development (BD) and Account Growth (CD) within the German banking sector by identifying strategic opportunities, leading high-stakes deal proposals, originating revenue, and expanding long-term C-suite relationships. You will serve as a key executive advisor to senior banking leaders while sponsoring practice growth, mentoring leadership talent, and shaping the strategic direction of our Core Banking practice.



Job requirements

• Drive and sponsor complex, large-scale core banking transformations, system replacements, and digitalization programs at the executive level across all phases, from market origination and C-level positioning to implementation governance and value realization.
• Provide strategic C-suite advisory on target operating models, enterprise architecture, business process redesign, and high-impact Avaloq platform strategies.
• Own business development targets and market growth within the German banking practice, leading strategic pursuit teams, shaping major proposal bids, and closing end-to-end deal opportunities.
• Serve as a executive-level trusted advisor to C-suite and senior bank leadership, establishing strategic partnerships and long-term accounts within the German financial sector.
• Lead, empower, and scale leadership talent and multidisciplinary project teams, sponsoring practice development while establishing high-performance standards across functional and technical Avaloq capabilities.
• Shape strategic target operating models and technology roadmaps that translate complex business strategies, market dynamics, and regulatory shifts into multi-year transformation agendas.
• Steer practice expansion and market positioning through thought leadership, IP development, strategic methodology frameworks, and cross-regional practice integration.

Job responsibilities

• Outstanding STEM or Business/Economics degree (Master's or MBA) from a top-tier university.
• 8–12+ years of progressive leadership experience in top-tier management consulting or senior banking line roles, with a proven track record of steering large-scale core banking transformations.
• Deep functional and strategic expertise with core banking platforms, including high-level architecture and platform capability roadmaps.
• Demonstrated success in designing target operating models and sponsoring end-to-end digital banking transformations, core platform implementations, or major migration programs.
• Strong executive network and authoritative domain expertise across the German banking landscape, regulatory environment, and competitive market dynamics.
• Proven track record of business origination (revenue responsibility, high-value pitches, deal closing) and C-level account management.
• Broad, strategic understanding of modern banking IT ecosystems, platform integration architecture, parameterization strategies, and emerging technologies (AI, APIs, cloud-native banking).
• Executive-level communication, negotiation, and leadership skills in fluent German and English, with willingness to travel as required by strategic accounts.
