Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the capital approval process and assist with analyzing new capital commitments and clearly convey financial highlights, risks, and opportunities of such transactions
  • Work with risk, the banking team, and product partners to understand the holistic client relationship including loans, risk rating, future opportunities, and client strategy, and ensure all relationship stakeholders are aligned in their views
  • Advise banking teams on transaction structures that could improve overall balance sheet usage metrics
  • Adhere to GCM global process consistency and lead relevant trainings sessions when necessary in the regional CIB
  • Contribute to and participate in various ad hoc global projects and initiatives
  • Prepare spreadsheets, presentations, and documents for transactions, risk memos, and transaction approvals
  • Analyze offering memos, financial statements, and due diligence reports to understand the capital structure, key credit drivers, business risks, tax/legal implication, and opportunities of being a leveraged finance lender to a prospective business; Participate in due diligence on leverage finance transactions
  • Utilize Citi's internal debt rating model to arrive at a company's risk rating and understand the impact of adding new debt to a company's balance sheet/income statement
  • Prepare transaction, quarterly, and annual credit approval packages for leveraged finance credits
  • On-board clients in the non-TM portfolio and support senior transactor in scoping and executing cross sell  opportunities

  • Qualifications

    Required Knowledge: 
    • General understanding of bank loans, other types of credit exposure and capital markets products
    • Conversant with the ICG Risk policy and proficient in credit & client on-boarding processes
    • Working knowledge of the TTS and Markets flow products
    • Experience with financial statement analysis, modelling and calculation of financial ratios
    • Awareness of global economic and political news and events
    • Preference for candidates with background/experience in Corporate Banking and lending
    • Required Competencies & Skills:
      • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
      • Competence in standard MS Office suite of applications including ICG Tools
      • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn internal processes, analytics, credit and industry dynamics
      • Strong work ethic and an effective team player with a positive attitude
      • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
      • Good time management skills, ability to prioritize and commitment to high quality results
      • Qualifications:
        • Bachelors and/or MBA degree in Finance with coursework in accounting and economics
        • Language: English, Mandarin is an advantage
