"The Periodic Control Division of Societe Generale Group (DCPE) gathers Audit and Generale Inspection teams. Audit is organized in geographical and functional zones, while General Inspection on top of audit work covers more particularly major risks for the Group, transversal topics and strategic issues.

The main role of DCPE is to review operational entities in an objective, thorough and risk-based manner to assess the compliance of the Group's operations, the level of risk actually incurred, the enforcement of procedures and the effectiveness and relevance of the corresponding permanent control set up. DCPE issues recommendations in order to better manage risks and to increase the efficiency of the Group's activity.

Within DCPE, the INS / DAT department is a global and transversal organization that plays a key role in reinforcing Societe Generale's third line of defense by leveraging on advanced data analytics techniques and tools."


The data analyst will be responsible to produce advanced data analysis on ad-hoc projects and as part audit assigments on SG Group entities in the Asia Pacific region. He or she will need to work in cooperation with auditors to design use cases, analyze data, document the analysis and present the results.

The data analyst will need to liaise with IT support teams and DCPE data extraction team to develop new data extraction templates or refine existing ones in order to better address Internal Audit needs.

The data analyst should also stay informed of new use cases, best practices and tips coming from the global DCPE Data Analytics community (as well as external forum) and contribute his/her expertise in return.


Academic Background & Certifications, Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline

Operational Skills

  • Proficient in data visualization and data analytics techniques including the use of software such as TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, MS PowerBI, Qlikview, RStudio, ACL, IDEA, SAS or excel
  • Knowledge of a programming language such as R, Python or VBA
  • Experienced with data Extraction, Transformation, and Load processes (ETL), Structured Query Language (SQL) and database management
