About Our Client
Our client is one of the largest US financial services firms in the world with headquartered in San Francisco and founded in 1852. They are now opening an exciting role for a regulatory risk control senior associate to join the International Regulatory Control team within Business Control to manage front line responsibilities and regulatory risk for regulatory control programs. They identify, assess and mitigate risks across regulatory risks as well as designing and implementing controls to ensure work effectiveness by managing risk across Corporate and Investment Banking.

Job Description
  • Responsible for managing complex regulatory risk activities within the assigned country and coordinating requests with multiple regions/ lines of business and functions across Regional Control Organization and key stakeholders
  • Manage regulatory changes impacting a single country/ region, ensure compliance to regulatory requirements consistent with risk management framework and policies and design of controls to meet local regulations within the region
  • Execute and maintain risk tolerance statements and KPIs, monitor, report and escalate to ensure operating quality and regulatory compliance gaps and issues within the regional and regulatory control organizations
  • Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls and risk monitoring to mitigate risks and address requirements of applicable statues, regulation and risk governance programs
  • Ensure consistent engagement model and comprehensive life-cycle remediation of issues and management within the region
  • Partner with line of business to manage Audit, IRM and regulator engagement, prepare presentation and communicate with internal business leadership


The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree with major in risk management, business administration, accounting and finance or relevant discipline
  • At least 8 years of working experience in compliance, regulatory examiner and risk management (including audit, legal, operational risk, credit risk, market risk and compliance)
  • Experience in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining effective risk management programs and risk controls within a large financial services company
  • Strong knowledge in global banking regulatory/ financial regulations and business process management
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, strong leadership with solid conflict management and decision making skills
  • Excellent English verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills and ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment
