Be the team lead of settlement and monitor the daily settlement operations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overview and monitor the daily operations of settlement, including 1) Estimating funding requirement for cash equity, derivatives and bonds market, lient & exchange / broker trade reconciliation 2) Client money segregation, Equity balance / derivatives product position reconciliation, Corporate action 3) IPO and Placement process 4) Hard dollars & soft dollars rebate scheme 5) Project participation and implementation 6) Support for internal and external clients;
  • Ensure the team provides quality support to both internal and external clients for ad hoc and regular queries;
  • Project participation and implementation for IPO / new business / system enhancement;
  • Develop and motivate the team to attract, retain and develop the capacity, capability of talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives;
  • Set expectations, share best practice and manage, monitor, coach and develop team to ensure that they maximize their performance, meet the required standards, and continuously develop their capabilities and experience;
  • Review and provide guidance to the team on different settlement tasks followed with the procedure manual;
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to comply with internal policy

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Operations or Settlement;
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics or a related discipline;
  • Attain professional qualification(s) in Investment Banking, Risk Management or other  relevant subject is preferred;
  • Supervisory experience is an advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge in settlement processing and operation of clearing systems;
  • Experience in HK futures/shares settlement, including IPO process and corporate action;
  • Good understanding of financial markets / investment products and knowledge in regulatory requirement;Work independently with self-initiative and motivation;
  • Client Service Oriented;
  • Good time management;
  • Strong risk sense;
