Job Description:
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities with institutional investors and investment consultants across assigned offshore markets.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional prospects, clients, and global investment consultants with a presence across Southeast Asia, Korea, and Europe.
- Sales Execution: Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and client engagement to onboarding, working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored investment solutions and product offerings.
- Client Coverage: Support the development and expansion of key institutional client relationships, identifying opportunities to grow assets under management and deepen client engagement.
- Market Coverage: Execute business development initiatives and marketing activities to enhance Value Partners' institutional presence across targeted offshore markets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with investment, product, client servicing, compliance, and operations teams to ensure efficient delivery of solutions and a seamless client experience.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and client developments to identify business opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
Job Requirement:
- 5-8 years of institutional sales, client relationship management, business development, or investment-related experience gained within asset management, private markets, investment banking, securities, or broader financial services.
- Demonstrated experience in servicing or developing relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, or financial institutions.
- Prior exposure to institutional markets in Southeast Asia, Korea, and/or Europe is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of institutional investment products, capital markets, and asset management industry dynamics.
- Proven relationship-building, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both clients and internal partners.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proactive and results-oriented approach to business development.
- Prior consulting experience and/or established relationships with institutional investment consultants would be a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. CFA, CAIA, MBA, or other relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Mandarin. Additional Asian or European language capabilities would be beneficial.
