The Role: Senior Quality Engineer
About the Role:
Senior Quality Engineer with extensive experience in test automation, API validation, data quality assurance, and enterprise application testing. Proven expertise in designing scalable automation frameworks, validating complex business workflows, and supporting CI/CD delivery pipelines. Experienced in Agentic AI testing, including validation of autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration workflows, tool invocation testing, and identification of edge cases unique to AI-driven systems. Strong background in financial services, data validation, Agile methodologies, and quality engineering best practices.

The S&P Dow Jones Indices Technology Quality Engineering team comprises of global teams that are responsible for the quality and delivery of applications and infrastructure that power global markets.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Engineering & Automation
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs.
Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression suites.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across multiple platforms.
Validate backend services, APIs, and database integrations to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are testable and quality standards are met.
Analyse defects, perform root cause analysis, and track issues through resolution using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into continuous delivery workflows.
Participate in release validation, deployment verification, and production support activities
Technical Skills
Test Automation: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, Junit
Programming Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
API Testing: Postman, REST APIs, API Automation
Database Testing: SQL, Data Validation
DevOps & Tools: Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines
AI & Agentic Systems: Agentic AI, Multi-Agent Systems, Workflow Validation, Autonomous Testing
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience
4+ years of experience in complete software testing activities
Knowledge of Agentic AI concepts, autonomous systems, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
Experience working with AI-powered applications, LLMs, chatbots, or intelligent automation platforms.
Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or automated API testing frameworks.
Familiarity with AI evaluation, prompt testing, observability, and model validation techniques.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitLab.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience in performance, security, or reliability testing.
Strong SQL skills for data validation and database testing.
Domain experience in Financial Services, Capital Markets, Asset Management, or Data Analytics is a plus.
Experience with Index/Benchmarks and Asset Management is a plus
Experience and understanding of Agile methodology
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
