Our client is a well established business in the Construction industry, they are seeking to recruit a payroll and accounts specialist to join their finance team. This role will take full responsibility for payroll across a number of entities and support the Financial Controller across other areas of finance.



Responsibilities will include:

• Take ownership for a number of payrolls within the organisation


• Set up employees on time and attendance system


• Maintain employee attendance records and holidays


• Manage expenses and expense reporting to Revenue


• Reconciliations


• Month end reporting


• Dealing with employees on payroll queries


• Journal postings


• Accounts payable


• Bank account management


• Bank reconciliations


• Complete other tasks and administrative duties as requested


• Involvement in year end

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of processing payroll within an SME environment


• IPASS or studying towards qualification desireable


• Relevant experience in a busy finance function


• Excellent communication skills - fully fluent written and spoken English essential


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance / payroll packages


• Ability to prioritise and to work to deadlines


• Strong organisational skills and efficiency with excellent attention to detail
