We currently have a vacancy for a Business Analyst on a contract of indefinite duration, in IT Delivery Division. This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 3 and the BP3 salary scale applies. Please click here for further information on our salary scales.

It is important to us that our people have flexibility in their role and we will shortly transition to a hybrid working model where they can balance their time between working from home and our office.

As a Business Analyst, you will work with the business to define and document business requirements and support the business with user acceptance testing in order to ensure requirements are collected successfully from the business.

Responsibilities:

Build strong relationships with the business and an understanding of the customer's business to provide challenge in order for the business to discover the business benefits of the proposed activity.
Investigate, analyse, review, define and accurately document business requirements in line with agreed standards, and working with the business, identify, shape and evaluate ideas so that the business requirements are correctly captured. Undertake process mapping to further understand the business.
Support projects or continuous delivery teams, managing requirements for a variety of solutions, including development, procurement and infrastructure
Engage in continuous improvement activities including post-implementation reviews in order to incorporate learning into future work, and utilise best practice tools, frameworks and methodologies when capturing and documenting business requirements in order to support a culture of continuous improvement within the function.
Liaise with IMTD stakeholders, including Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects and Solution Developers so that there is accurate interpretation of business requirements, to ensure the correct solution is delivered to meet business needs, and liaise also with Quality Assurance to support in the preparation and execution of User Acceptance Testing.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business Analysis, typically 6 years’ experience
Solid business analysis skills including analytical thinking and requirements management
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal, stakeholder management and teamwork skills

Desirable:

Relevant 3rd level Degree
Experience of process modelling, design and improvement
Experience of working in a waterfall and agile software development lifecycle
Relevant professional body qualification or accreditation (for example BCS, CABA)
