A growing bank focused on capital markets, asset management and corporate banking has need of a CFO with a strong FS background to join the board and provide strategic regulatory and commercial advice to the CEO. The role will be a senior leadership role and an opportunity to play a key role in the growth for the division.

This position is designated as Pre-Approved Controlled Function under Schedule 1 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (Section 20 and 22) Regulations 2011, and as such is subject to the Central Bank of Irelands Fitness and Probity Regime. This Position is Registered as a CF2 and PCF11 . 

A person who is subject to the Fitness and Probity regime must:

  • Be Competent and capable
  • Act honestly, ethically and with Integrity and
  • Be financially sound

The business is entering a period of growth so a commercial person with a strong controls background who ideally has strong knowledge of the CBI already. Failing that, an approved person with strong knowledge of the FCA/PRA will be considered.

You must have 10 years plus experience in senior finance leadership roles. Be comfortable with both being in the detail and showing strategic vision and be able to lead a large and growing department of finance professionals. Strong Product knowledge will be expected ideally within the FX/Rates space and in addition,  experience of hedging strategies will be advantageous.

Transformation. The business is passionate about having a best in class finance function that can help a rapidly scaling region. So experience of leading large scale projects to develop and lead finance functions will be important.

Ideally you will have board level experience already but if not and all other skills are prevalent this experience is not mandatory. You must be a qualified accountant and either be in Dublin currently or prepared to relocate/commute there.
