A major international financial services firm is looking to hire a Risk Analyst for its Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) function.

The role holder will be primarily responsible for the continued development and implementation of the firm’s governance and policy management frameworks ensuring consistent application, roll-out and implementation of requirements across the business lines and support functions. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for assisting and supporting the continued development and implementation of the ERM strategy and framework. This will include active involvement in risk projects and entail activities such as risk governance related projects, key risk reporting, analysis of emerging risks and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development of a robust governance framework, and execution of the framework across business lines and geographies
  • Partner with FLOD and SLOD to ensure risk & compliance policies are appropriately embedded; and policies are understood and effectively applied
  • Assist in prioritising and driving completion of mitigation efforts and improvements in the control environment across the business lines, ensuring monitoring, escalation, and appropriate mitigation of identified exposures that exceed the firm's risk appetite
  • Assist in the forecasting and analysis of new ‘emerging risks’ with potential reputational or strategic impact
  • Assist in the monitoring and reporting of the organisation’s risk profile vis-à-vis the organisational Risk Appetite Statement and risk policies to respective governance bodies including local / regional management and local / regional Risk Committees and Boards
  • Prepare and provide senior management information and reports; and escalate concerns where appropriate

Experience required:

  • Strong financial or professional services experience in a compliance, risk or internal control role
  • Experience in developing and implementing risk initiatives
  • Exposure to Irish / EU / US regulatory environment
