Description of the Business Line or Department
Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has been active in Ireland for 20 years and is a leading player in servicing Irish domiciled and offshore collective investment vehicles. We act locally as fund administrator and depositary for a wide range of international clients who manage schemes from UCITS to AIFs including private equity and real estate structures, hedge funds and special purpose vehicles.

Summary of responsibilities
Supervises the daily valuation workflow of one or more client relationshipsEnsures timely and accurate results for each of the funds within each relationshipProvides guidance to the Fund Accounting TeamEnsures technical assistance to Fund Accounting TeamProblem solving for the Fund Accounting Team in resolving issuesEnsures that all reconciling items are followed up and escalated where necessarySupervises the Fund Accounting Team to ensure that procedures are followed and that the service is at the required standardEnsures that all agreed deliverables are metBe the 1st point of escalation with clients for queries / issuesEnsures all fee budgets and performance fees calculations are agreed with the client on an annual basisCommunicates issues on a timely basis to management Maintains positive relationships with clientsExpands and promotes the image of SGSS to all external contactsAssists all recipients of SGSS services on their needs Ensures that clients receive the best quality of serviceProactive in response to (internal and external) client queriesPerforms the annual evaluation of the Fund Accounting TeamImplement and continually update procedures and processesEnsure processes and procedures comply with the ISAE3402 certificationEnsure the review of operational proceduresParticipating and leading on special projects where requiredFacilitates regular team meetings Monitor operational risks & report key risk to managementKeep up to date on any technical and regulatory developments within the businessLiaise with the clients / custody back office / clearing broker(s) …etc. - re: various matters/issues (reconciliations, settlements, corporate action ...)Assists Head of Ops to improve processes to reduce risk and improve productivity

Profile description:

Competencies
Knowledge of Fund accounting for Ucits and Non-Ucits FundsStrong overall knowledge of the fund industry / regulations (UCITS, AIFMD …etc.)Experience of Private Equity / Real Estate Funds an advantageSolid understanding of fundamentals of financial instruments, stock markets and derivatives.Good understanding of accounting conceptsCommunication skillsLeadership and motivation skillsAbility to supervise a teamGood working knowledge of ExcelKnowledge of GP3 an advantageFluent English written and spokenAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyGood time management, organisational skills and planning skillsGood numeric & analytical skills with strong attention to detailAbility to understand, address & manage operational risksGood interpersonal skillsCommitted to improving work processes and developing efficiencies in the workplaceAbility to raise important issues to ManagementCustomer focused
WORK EXPERIENCE
4-6 years' experience, financial services preferredPrevious supervisory experience an advantageStrong organisational and interpersonal skills necessaryGood initiative required but also ability to recognize when escalation of issues needs to be taken.Strong financial product knowledge.Good IT skills, knowledge of SQL, VBA an advantage. French an advantage.Knowledge of GP3 an advantage. Experience in migrations / parallel run an advantage.

EDUCATION
Degree required - preferred business/accounting/finance concentration
LANGUAGES
Fluent English essential; knowledge of French language an advantage
