Overview This role sits in our Funds Business group and the main purpose will be to assist in the oversight of fund accounting and administration of PIMCO's European public funds.
Responsibilities - Responsible for the European Fund Accounting
- Respond to internal and external fund accounting queries
- Oversight, co-ordination and review of fund dividends
- Oversight and management of third-party vendors (fund accountants, administrators, custodians) related to the Funds
- Coordinate and communicate daily inquiries to appropriate internal departments
- Develop reports for European Funds Management, Boards & Management on European Funds
- Support Account Management and business development activities
- Support Fund events (e.g. Fund launches, liquidations)
- Manage various projects related to process improvements, procedure and systems development
Requirements - Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance - preferred
- Proven experience in Fund Accounting within the investment industry
- Mutual fund operations experience a benefit
- Proficiency in designing and executing database queries
- Strong project management skills
- Strong computer skill and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a high degree of expertise with Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft VBA experience an advantage
- Strong time management and prioritizing skills
- Ability to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and constant focus on quality and client service
- Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Dynamic, flexible, and strong working in a team
