We currently have a vacancy for an Operations Team Lead on a contract of indefinite duration, in Regulatory and Business Services Division. This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 3 and the BP3 salary scale applies. Please click here for further information on our salary scales.

It is important to us that our people have flexibility in their role and we will shortly transition to a hybrid working model where they can balance their time between working from home and our office.

The purpose of the role is to lead, manage and develop a team of administrative staff in the timely, effective and efficient delivery and management of a high quality Operations service, which facilitates and supports the division in the fulfilment of its remit, particularly on organisational task, through the design and execution of the annual Operations work programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development of the annual Operations work programme and the management, co-ordination and any required reporting on office administration functions on behalf of the division to ensure compliance with all relevant organisational reporting requirements (including Balanced Scorecard) and timelines in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Provide leadership and development to the team through effective planning, management and direction to ensure team deliverables are met.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to continuously improve the operation and efficiency of the Division, to ensure its credibility and professionalism. Ensure appropriate and effective operational processes and procedures are in place in order to enable efficiency gain and continuous improvement in relation to processes.
  • Co-ordinate Divisional responsibilities for operational risk, business continuity, internal audit, recruitment, resourcing, performance management and non-pay budget.
  • Lead and manage the co-ordination of the internal and external communications falling within the remit of the Operations team to ensure the recording and issuance of responses to all such communications in a timely manner and within required deadlines. Maintain the RTD Service Catalogue to ensure it accurately reflects ongoing service changes.
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with connected functions across the Central Bank to ensure delivery of team/Directorate objectives and foster a culture of collaborating, sharing (including effective flow of information) and continuous improvement. In particular with the Human Resources Division, Information and Management Technology Directorate, General Secretariat Division, Financial Control Division, EHS co-ordinator, Internal Audit and the Organisation Risk Division.
  • Oversee internal publications, including Monthly Operations Report, Monthly Service Report & monthly Operations Committee and Commission Reports

 Requirements:

  • A third level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 4-6 years' related experience, to include experience of managing people, budgets and processes, in an environment with a varied and heavy workload.
  • Good knowledge of operations management, manpower planning and budgetary processes.
  • Proficient and experienced in MS Office suite of applications.
  • Operational risk experience desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills (team building, coaching) with ability to drive performance standards.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise effectively, demonstrating sound and objective judgement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, in particular the ability to relate to senior management, staff and other stakeholders
