Overview

PIMCO is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join our Global Desk team in either our Dublin or London office. This role will be a key addition to our existing team, supporting PIMCO's FX volume across G10 and EM FX currencies. The successful candidate will be expected to foster strong relationships across all PIMCO desks to ensure alignment of the FX book throughout the firm.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a currency expert, supporting Portfolio Managers on PIMCO's Global Desk with all currency-related matters
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring currency exposures in Global Portfolios, Offshore vehicles, and Overlay Strategies
  • Develop expertise in all currency-related legal guidelines, ensuring daily compliance
  • Attend PIMCO account opening, closing, and transition meetings as an advisor on proper currency management
  • Perform daily Risk Management tasks related to currency hedging and rebalances
  • Become proficient in all G10 and EM conventions and mechanics from trade to settlement for spot, forward, and OTC options
  • Collaborate with the Technology team to maintain accurate processes, mitigate risk, and enhance applications as needed
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a Foreign Currency trade support or operations role is preferred
  • Strong knowledge base in Foreign Currency investment is required
  • Advanced Excel skills, with prior experience in Python, SQL, VBA, and Bloomberg preferred
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and interpersonal
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships
  • Enjoy working collaboratively across the organization to resolve issues
  • Ability to independently manage projects from start to finish, demonstrating self-motivation
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who thrives in a team environment
