Software Support Engineer - Dublin Our financial services client is looking for a permanent Software Support Engineer to join their team in Dublin. Role: Software Support Engineer - Dublin • Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions related to software and setup errors for pre-sales engineers, support analyst, and customers.
• Liaise with the development team on root cause and fixes or workarounds of issues • Support the work of software developers, providing customer feedback and suggestions for improving the software. • Manage the escalation and resolution of Software Products. • Lead on meetings between customers and software engineers to discuss and resolve issues. • Discuss software architecture, requirements and implementation with customers. • Demonstrate Software Products to customers.
• Excellent knowledge of high-performance grid computing and cloud computing technology (Microsoft Azure).
• Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, Hazelcast, REST. • Familiar with SQL and relational database systems. (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle MySQL). • Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, or related discipline. • Finance or Insurance industry experience, with knowledge of financial software systems.
