This successful candidate for this role will be a key member of our Payments Finance Team, based in Galway. The Finance will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports to assist Senior Management in driving the business forward. It is a unique opportunity to join an Innovative company who are an industry pioneer. You will be a key person in supporting the Payments Financial Controller in carrying out the daily and monthly responsibilities. Prepare monthly reconciliations and assist in preparation of reports and ongoing projects as well as ad hoc request.


Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly accounts for specific companies (within the Planet Group) in line with month end reporting deadlines.

Completing balance sheet reconciliations (bank accounts, intercompany accounts etc). Processing of invoices (incoming and outgoing) which involves ensuring correct approvals are obtained. Debtors and Creditors control reconciliations to include monitoring of month end ledgers, settlement and allocation of creditor and debtor payments and monitoring of aged listings. Engagement with auditors and tax advisors when required by Payments Financial Controller. Assist the Payments Financial Controller and the finance team with ad hoc finance projects and ensure deadlines are adhered to.



Knowledge & Experience

›           Part Qualified Accountant or Accounting Technician with minimum 1+ years accounting experience.

›           User knowledge of an accounting package e.g Sage/SUN desirable. 



›           Strong comprehension of accounting principles.

›           Proven organisational, planning and communication skills.

›           Good technical and analytical aptitude.

›           Excellent IT skills.
