Role/ Department: The Securities Services Product team sits within the Product & Client Solutions group of the Corporate & Institutional Services business which aims to provide best in class front-to-back services to Asset Managers and Asset Owners across the world. It is responsible for defining and executing the strategy globally for a range of capabilities and services, primarily for Global Custody and Direct Custody as well as their interaction and integration with the wider product set. This is a senior role responsible for executing the strategy of the product umbrella as outlined by the Lead Product Manager, Product Executive and Head of Product Management. With the industry moving at pace with significant evolution and diversity across the asset servicing environment, this is an interesting and exciting period of change. Therefore, this role is critical in building for the future of Northern Trust and its clients and is an excellent opportunity for an operational professional to crossover to Product Management. The primary focus of this role is to drive efforts to understand, define and deliver solutions for fund order routing services globally ensuring the highest levels of client satisfaction and that Northern Trust positions itself as a leading provider in the fund order routing services space. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging across the organisation to ensure timely, relevant and robust deployment of services to meet client needs. This role will also be responsible for and/or contribute to digital related activities as required. The key responsibilities of the role include: - Developing market insights and evaluating industry trends - Enhance the fund order routing product offering to be highly competitive and enhance client experience - Lead multiyear enhancement initiatives through to execution - Partner with Sales organization to complete RFPs and client pitches - Manage senior client engagement and relationships - Creation and Issuance of marketing materials - Maintain industry presence through industry groups, associations and forum - Formulating strategy for the group by aligning cross functional teams, uncovering opportunities and determining life cycles - Shaping the value proposition, developing the business case and defining the marketing mix model as part of the new product planning process - Lead in introducing new products to the market by securing regulatory approvals, publishing marketing material and conducting sales training - Assessing industry movement and refine value based pricing post the launch of new products - Leading initiatives and investments for short term and strategic projects and programs - Taking accountability, in partnership with senior executives, for the successful delivery of identified programmes to agreed scopes, costs and schedules - Providing sales support including presenting at client and prospect meetings - Creating strategies for cross-program coordination and go-to market rollouts - Conducting post launch audits, tracks product success, analyses P&L, metrics, KPIs; making recommendations for improvements to promotional programs - Proactively manages and assists the team in the resolution of programme challenges and risks Skills/Qualifications The successful candidate will benefit from having: - Proven operational experience within Securities Services, Custody or Asset Management industry across multiple disciplines - Product management experience an advantage - Proven experience understanding the impacts to and needs of investors, intermediaries and industry participants with particular understanding of a custodian in this context. - Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise - Demonstrated ability to carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues - Demonstrated balance and cross-functional perspective whilst liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity - Demonstrated skills in listening to and influencing stakeholders at all levels, conveying complex topics, simply - Proven experience creating presentations as a subject matter - Excellent communication skills; verbal, non-verbal and written - Keen understanding of how to lead programs by influence - Prior financial & budget management exposure and experience is preferred Working with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
