Internal Auditor for Head office Audit

  • Manage the conduct of audit(s) assigned and ensure that they are delivered on time, on budget, to the required standard and provide value to the bank.
  • Lead assigned audit and execute with the following skills:
    • Project management
    • Subject matter expertise on audit framework and methodology
    • Subject matter expertise on regulatory compliance
    • Ability to identify critical business issues and opportunities
  • Prepare and review the complete working papers for the audit through documenting the audit work conducted, describing the audit work performed and the audit evidence that supports the audit findings and conclusions as well as including the work performed by other team members.
  • Communicate the audit findings and writing audit and ad-hoc reports for delivery to, and agreement with, auditees.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of Audit process and procedures to provide independent assurance over the following entities:
    • Transaction Banking - Cash Management and Custody
    • Human Resources
    • Corporate Communications
    • Secretariat
    • Legal
    • Regulatory Compliance
  • Work in conjunction with the Business/ Support units to:
    • Better manage business risk
    • Maintain a good working relationship
    • Ensure that Group Audit is kept informed of changes in risk management and/or all major new developments and
    • Track the implementation of audit recommendations
  • Preparation and monitoring of audit plans and work in progress
  • Handle special assignments (eg ad-hoc/ special projects) in relation to activities in the entities covered

Qualifications
  • Degree holder or other equivalent qualifications
  • 5 years' experience in Audit/Compliance function within Finance industry
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, able to effectively manage a team of auditors and work independently
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skill to handle audit clients
  • Possess strong analytical skill and ability to perform risk assessment on banking processes
  • IT savvy and well versed with Microsoft Office
  • Organised, systematic, meticulous and good time management
  • Resourceful and have good problem handling abilities
  • Possess initiative and ability to work independently as well as in a team
