As a core member of our Financial Reporting team, you will be working with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Job Purpose:
Manage the preparation and coordination of financial statement and regulatory reporting in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and applicable regulatory requirements. Effectively manage client and auditor relationships throughout engagements.

Main Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Review annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS, as required.
• Oversee assigned engagements, including planning, budgeting, client relationship management, delegation to staff, and monitoring and reporting of out-of-scope time.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of footnote disclosures in accordance with accounting, reporting, and regulatory standards. Review legal documents governing the fund to ensure appropriate financial statement disclosure structure.
• Oversee coordination with internal teams, clients and external auditors. Manage the year-end financial statement process, and lead the identification, research and communication of relevant accounting, reporting and regulatory updates to the team.
• Review regulatory reports in compliance with applicable requirements, including compilation of key regulatory data and coordination with local and global teams to ensure timely and accurate regulatory submissions.
• Identify errors or problems, independently investigate and resolve complex matters, and escalate significant issues to senior management as needed.
• Review various engagement reports and ad hoc client reports as needed. Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and cascade relevant updates to team members.
• Identify and communicate potential opportunities for new clients, as well as value-added service enhancements for existing clients and management. Prepare and review requests for proposals for prospective clients.
• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members to strengthen required knowledge areas and support achievement of team goals.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
• At least 5 years of external audit experience, preferably in the asset management industry, or relevant financial reporting experience within a financial institution.
• At least 3 years of experience in team and client management in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, asset management, hedge funds, and financial reporting, preferably gained in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Previous financial statement review and/or preparation experience is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and non-CPAs are welcome to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Amenable to work at any one of our Citco offices: Makati (OneAyala Corporate) or Alabang (Northgate Cyber Zone) or Clark office.
• Amenable to work in a hybrid setup, with 2 to 3 days onsite per week.
• Amenable to work on shifting schedules (AM or mid-shift).
