Key responsibilities

Are you highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented? Do you enjoy working with data, following structured processes and learning how payroll services are delivered across multiple countries? Are you curious about how technology, controls and continuous improvement support accurate and timely payroll?

As an EMEA SMC Payroll Intern, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting payroll input collection, data validation and routine quality checks under team guidance
• Maintaining payroll documentation, trackers and structured records in line with team procedures
• Assisting with reporting preparation, reconciliations and evidence gathering for payroll controls
• Tracking employee and stakeholder queries and helping ensure timely follow-up
• Handling sensitive employee and payroll information with discretion, accuracy and professionalism

The team

You'll be part of the HR Service Delivery EMEA SMC Payroll team in Krakow/Wroclaw. The team supports payroll delivery across multiple EMEA locations and works closely with HR colleagues, local stakeholders and external payroll providers.

You will gain practical exposure to end-to-end payroll operations, data-quality checks, controls, documentation and service delivery. You will also contribute to process standardisation, simplification and continuous-improvement activities while receiving day-to-day guidance from experienced payroll specialists.

Your skills and experience

• Fluent English
• Strong Excel skills; confidence working with data is an asset
• Interest in payroll, Human Resources, finance, accounting or a Shared Services environment
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Service-oriented mindset with clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with recurring deadlines, confidential information and varied daily tasks
