Application Services - Application Support Specialist

The support specialist will be a techno functional support team member must have the strong supporting experience in a) Portfolio Risk Mortgage Management System (PRoMMise) b) Cornerstone Learning Management (LMS) cloud system c) SABA Learning Management system.

He/she is responsible for ensuring system availability and timely delivery of various management reporting. Support specialist, as the admin cum analyst expert within the IT team, will be in charge to co-ordinate and work with various teams such as Tech Infra, Application Services, Solutioning, Project and Business units in the bank. He/she follows up to resolve issues reported by users and performs impact analysis related projects/enhancements that which are relating to supporting applications.

Roles/Responsibilities
  • Responsible to provide BAU support for multiple applications above listed
  • Provide validation, integration, and implementation multiple applications
  • Responsible to provide operational support and ensure SLI of system availability, online and batch deliverables
  • Responsible for administration and troubleshooting IT systems
  • Fine tune applications and systems for high performance and higher volume throughput
  • Contribute to business requirement review for technical implementation as a subject matter expert
  • Translate user requirements into functional and technical solutions for technical design team and developers
  • Conduct review of technical and functional solutions from enhancement/project team to ensure they conform to IT standards
  • Respond on time to the queries raised by various business units
  • Provide timely updates regarding production status and progress of issue resolution
  • Perform impact analysis of enhancements/projects that will impact supported systems


Qualifications
Pre-requisites:
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with the capacity of application support specialist role
  • Experience in supporting multiple applications such as a) Portfolio Risk Mortgage Management System (PRoMMise) b) Cornerstone Learning Management (LMS) cloud system c) SABA Learning Management system
  • Technically competent in supporting application running on Unix & Windows platforms with extensive knowledge in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and Java programming,J2EE
  • Possess strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Has experience in supporting application running in Unix & Unix scripting knowledge

Technical skills:
  • Enterprise Java Beans (EJB)
  • Java, JavaScript, HTML
  • Java Server Pages (JSP)
  • Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Concept
  • Web servers (IIS)
  • Servlet Engine (JRUN and Weblogic)
  • Websphere Application server
  • J2EE standards especially JAAS, JAAS Packaging (war and ear files)
  • Web services especially WSDL, SOAP
  • Basic Windows OS skills
  • Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft SQL Server, PL/SQL programming
  • Crystal Reports V7 and higher
  • R, Python, JavaScript
  • J2EE frameworks
  • Fundamental understanding of XML generation
  • Skills with MQ technologies (TIBCO EMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus
