Redstone Commodity Search are working with an International Commodity Conglomerate looking to hire a Commercial Head to join and lead the team in Singapore, with frequent travelling to Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responsible for coordinating the global allocation, sales and marketing activities of all viscose staple fibre produced and procured by the company, including volume and pricing
- Responsible for developing strategic business and marketing plans in line with the groups global objectives as well as for strategies for VSF sales in allocated markets
- Maintain relationships with key accounts while developing new customers across domestic and International markets, particularly Indonesia
- Strengthen sales & marketing activities across rep offices throughout the company and wider group through talent acquisition
- The commercial head will be expected to travel often, mainly to Indonesia
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in B2B sales & marketing in the bulk commodities space with at least 6 years in a senior commercial manager role
- Ideal candidate will have prior exposure to / knowledge of the global textile and/or viscose market
- Must manage a sales revenue of min. USD 300 million annually – proven commercial sales experience in textile related commodity is a must (yarn, cotton, polyester, rayon etc.)
- Good leadership and people skills in order to manage a commercial team
- Must speak at least business fluent English, fluency of Mandarin is also a plus
- Role to be based in Singapore – candidate must hold Singapore PR – with significant travelling to Indonesia expected
