Supporting our End-User Computing Desktop Infrastructure (Windows). Key Responsibilities
Deliver process improvements around the use of our core technologies (Active Directory, SCCM, SCOM, SOE builds).
Perform application release for packaged applications into the production environment; provide technical solution for software deliver systems.
Provide technical support for the HVD environment, administration of Citrix XenDesktop Environment.
Provide technical support for the projects/tasks to achieve the delivery set within the defined timeframe.
Conduct situational and data analysis to identify and understand a problem or issue
Provide quality data in our bindings and tracking tools to manage our IT Assets are properly traced with a proper management of the lifecycle.
Any changes to processes and systems to improve our support capabilities must be recorded in an existing or new documentation, our Knowledgebase. Create technical documentation and procedures for the various APAC ITIP EUC implementers
Ensure that Security and IT Risk Management directives and policies are applied, to operational products and services and are integrated into the planning for the development and implementation of new products and services.
Ensure the EUC infrastructure is optimal, pro-actively monitor the healthiness & performance, and continually provide recommendations to improve the setup.
Obviate the risk of system failure by timely monitoring systems and apply necessary fix in advanced to avoid incident to the production systems
Ensure Change, Incident & Problem Tickets queues are pro-actively managed, assigned in the day and followed up till proper closure.
Business continuity plan is up to date, and it is correctly documented
Troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues, Analyze failures to minimize outages and interruptions.
Perform system implementation and administration for assigned systems
Provide L3 support for Help Desk/Desktop personnel
Participate in an on-call rotation Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)
Proven experience working with Active Directory , SCCM and Windows System
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Product such as Windows OS , Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, MS-Office and Ability to implement solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies and scripting skill (Powershell )
ITIL, ITSM and Project Management skills.
Must be a great communicator, teacher and influencer.
Must be a keen learner and enthusiastic about technology.
Ability to perform deep dive analysis of issues and be able to quickly resolve complex problems.
Be service oriented, customer focused, positive, and committed and an enthusiastic team player with a flexible 'can do' attitude
Relishes taking responsibility in a hands-on environment directly interfacing with people at all levels of the organization
Be able to follow the company's standards, processes and procedures.
Proven experience working with latest Citrix software solutions such as XenDesktop/XenApp, NetScaler and Citrix Receiver Specific Qualifications Required
Tertiary qualification in an IT (Computer Engineering or Sciences).
6 years of direct experience managing and supporting a large Windows environment.
Technology Certifications preferable: Windows, Networking, Scripting.
Windows Authentication experience would be a plus (Kerberos, Gemalto Smartcards, Entrust PKI)
