For our client in the pharmaceutical sector, based in Zug, we are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a team developing and maintaining an in-house Linux platform used in medical devices.
Your Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a custom OS abstraction layer with a strong focus on modern C++ backend development.
- Design, implement, and maintain a system daemon and a suite of plugins exposing operating system capabilities through an RPC API.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of an in-house Linux distribution for medical devices.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Refactor legacy code, manage Debian packaging and configuration, and drive continuous platform improvements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver technical solutions for medical instrument and software development projects.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with modern C++ development.
- Strong experience developing software in a Linux environment.
- Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
