Key responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting Subject Matter Expert to join our Group Finance Technology team.
In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of UBS's consolidation and financial reporting capabilities. Working closely with Finance, Technology, and external partners, you will help deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient consolidation solutions supporting Group reporting and regulatory requirements.
This position combines deep expertise in financial consolidation, accounting processes, and SAP technology with strong delivery and stakeholder management skills. You will play a key role in modernizing our finance architecture through standardization, automation, and data-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Consolidation & Financial Reporting
• Act as the subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting and consolidation processes.
• Design and enhance consolidation solutions supporting IFRS and Swiss GAAP reporting requirements.
• Support critical consolidation activities, including:
o Intercompany eliminations
o Capital and equity consolidation
o Foreign currency translation
o Ownership management
o Internal and external financial reporting
• Ensure accurate and compliant execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Partner with Group Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
Solution Design & Delivery
• Lead functional design and implementation activities within SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.
• Define and maintain consolidation models, reporting structures, business rules, mappings, and consolidation logic.
• Design and support integrations between Group Reporting and related finance platforms, including General Ledger, FPSL, GRDC, and data platforms.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve financial close efficiency, controls, and data quality.
• Support incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement across finance technology solutions.
Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Data, and Technology teams to align business and technical priorities.
• Provide guidance to project teams and external implementation partners.
• Contribute to finance technology roadmaps and strategic transformation initiatives.

You'll be working within UBS Finance Technology, joining a global dynamic scrum team of Business & Technical Analysts. We are supporting local and global projects for various business units of UBS AG. Our mission: to find solutions for strategic business challenges, analysis of current processes and functionalities, implementing best in class solutions for customers and UBS business.

Your skills and experience

Finance & Consolidation
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting in implementation and support environments.
• Deep understanding of financial consolidation processes, including:
o Intercompany eliminations
o Ownership and equity consolidation
o Foreign currency translation
o Financial close and reporting processes
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting practices within a global organization.
• Experience with SAP BPC, SAP BCS, or other consolidation platforms is highly desirable.
SAP & Technology
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture and integration concepts.
• Experience designing and supporting interfaces across finance and reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of reporting solutions such as SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP reporting technologies.
• Familiarity with automation, testing, and data quality controls within financial reporting environments.
• Knowledge of SAP BW, FPSL, MDG, GRDC, or data lake solutions is an advantage.
• ABAP development knowledge is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience delivering Finance Technology solutions, with significant experience in SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.
• Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Fluency in English
