This is a rare opportunity to build and lead the compliance framework from ground up. Reporting to the Taiwan General Manager and Hong Kong Compliance Head, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Taiwan insurance regulations, supporting corporate governance, managing regulatory relationships, and promoting a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance framework in accordance with Taiwan insurance regulations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on compliance risks and regulatory changes.
- Establish and enhance compliance policies, internal controls, and governance processes.
- Manage regulatory reporting, inspections, licensing matters, and communications with regulatory authorities.
- Oversee compliance monitoring, AML/CFT programmes, risk assessments, and remediation initiatives.
- Provide compliance advice and training to business teams while promoting a strong compliance culture.
- Partner with management to support strategic initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Experience in Compliance, Risk, Legal & Compliance, or Regulatory Affairs within insurance, insurance brokerage, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan insurance regulations, corporate governance, AML/CFT, and regulatory reporting.
- Experience liaising with regulators and managing regulatory inspections or audits is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
