Finance & Business Management (F&BM) is seeking a VP/ED Business Manager, based in London, to join a business management team supporting the Global Head of Markets & Investor Services Operations. The organization is part of the Corporate & Investment Bank's Chief Administrative Office and forms the core of the CIB's strategic Operations infrastructure.

Markets & Investor Services Operations is a very large, global organization made up of mo re than 12,000 employees across 68 locations. It is very dynamic and is driven by business and client growth, global regulatory activity, innovation and emerging technologies. As such, the Business Management function is fast paced and an interesting team to be a part of.

The role reports to Markets & Investor Services Operations Business Manager based in London and will be part of a global team of five. There are five main areas of focus:

  1. Supporting the Global Head of Operations to manage multiple matrix relationships
  2. Helping drive business strategy
  3. Optimizing business performance reporting and planning
  4. Establishing and communicating business priorities and ensuring delivery
  5. Program leadership for Markets & Investor Services Operations Innovation efforts

Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver high quality, consistent and meaningful executive reporting and analytics to support business decisions
  • Communicate business strategy, performance and priorities both internally (e.g. business updates, business reviews, off sites) and externally (industry bodies, regulators, clients)
  • Ownership for a variety of monthly governance and reporting processes whilst also identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize delivery and improve integrity
  • Drive Innovation efforts across the organization, ensuring stakeholders are onboard with the requirements and support delivery
  • Line management responsibility for a rotational analyst
Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally coupled with strategic, business management and financial experience, as well as direct line management experience
  • Must be a confident leader - possessing a strength of personality and intellect to gain the respect of demanding business heads and senior finance management team
  • Ability to prioritize, multi task and drive the agenda under pressure
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation at appropriate junctures
  • Team player comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting-style, unstructured environment
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills, as well as written and verbal communication
  • Ability to receive and act upon feedback
  • Advanced desktop tool skills including Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Sharepoint (custom lists, forms and InfoPath)
