We are working with a fixed income hedge fund in London who are looking to hire a mid-level C# developer. This hire will focus on a range of greenfield projects and report into the CTO. The fund is looking to build on sustained success and have ambitious plans to grow the team. They are looking to build out a new graph based, core C# system and this hire will be integral to that. This will be focused on building frameworks and libraries for use by a range of quants and data analysts.

This position is with a high performing fixed income fund in London. The catalyst for the hire is growth due to consistent strong performance. They are looking to grow their development team by hiring a C# developer as they look to build a new, bespoke core system. This system will then have further modules built on top and be used by a range of users.

They are looking for a candidate who has direct experience building out, ideally from scratch, core trading systems in C#. Realistically, the successful candidate will have at least 4-5 years’ experience in a relevant role. Exposure to working with fixed income instruments such as interest rate derivatives such as interest rate swaps would be compelling but not mandatory. Due to the plans for growth, there are a range of projects to be worked on, so there is a degree of flexibility to nuances of the hire. For example, someone with UI experience would be interesting, though this is not essential as can be accommodated in subsequent hire (they expect to hire multiple people throughout the year).

In terms of characteristics the fund hires are high performing self-starters with low ego and the ability to be pragmatic in their approach to work. There is significant exposure to working with a range of stakeholders across the business (including PMs), so strong communication skills are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and very collegiate fund with a progressive and positive working culture. The role involves working on greenfield projects in a collegiate culture. They are a very exciting group and have a friendly atmosphere to work in.

Requirements:

  • At least 4-5 years in C# development
  • Strong academic background in Computational Focused subjects, ideally to master’s level.
  • Knowledge and working experience with interest rate derivatives and other fixed income instruments desired but not essential.
  • UI experience desired but not essential.
  • Experience in greenfield buildouts and prior buyside exposure would be advantageous
  • Positive, can-do pragmatic attitude
