JOB TEXT

So before you read through this and decide Investment Banking isn't for you... I promise this job is different. No legacy architecture, no working on pointless projects that won't exist in 3 months... You will actually be working on an important real project, with new(ish) tech... I promise to not litter this advert entirely with buzzwords...

So this Investment Bank currently does a huge Digital Transformation piece (as most of them are currently), they have a specific business unit that is about 100 people Globally. They look at developing "cutting edge" (Buzzword number 1), web and mobile products for their clients and staff. Think funky custom-built intranet and huge client engagement area across multiple platforms. Then think you have carte blanche to create ideas and develop prototypes for these areas, did I mention they would like you to set up and roll out the rapid prototyping function? This is all generally developed in Angular.js 5 (upgrading to 6 shortly) so obviously strong experience of Angular.js is important. Potentially if you are a polyglot, or a react.js person they would look at you and be open to a discussion.

Now part two of the job, DevOps (Buzzword number 2). They wouldn't mind if you felt like defining the DevOps roadmap across this business unit. So the experience of DevOps tools (TeamCity, Nolio, and Jira) would be nice. When I say nice, I mean important.

Now here's the kicker, you don't need to come from a Financial Services background, they just want a talented Developer who might want to become an Architect one day (no promises, but they did kind of mention that's the next step. But if you quote me I'll deny it.) It would be great if you have worked on huge Web/Mobile projects before if note huge they may be willing to accept pretty big projects.

If this sounds interesting feel free to get in touch with me and I'll happily go into more detail and tell you all about it. Did I mention this is a Perm role?
