An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Talent Acquisition team at T. Rowe Price to join as a Recruiter to help support our continued growth across the region. This position works as a member of the Global Human Resources team to provide support across T. Rowe Price’s European locations.

Our recruiting team based in London is responsible for all recruiting across all business areas for experienced hire, contract/temporary recruiting as well as undergraduate and MBA hiring. This additional recruiter will focus mostly on middle and back office functions however flexibility and a real passion for all things recruiting is key within our small team.

The Recruiter acts as a consultant and partner to the business in the development of their talent pipeline.  The incumbent is responsible for enabling the business to identify and source talent for both standard and niche skill sets; spanning from entry level to more complex, technical roles.  The Recruiter works in partnership with the Recruiting Manager, HR Generalists, Compensation and hiring managers to develop strategies for recruitment and selection that are aligned with business plans.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consults with managers to identify, develop and implement recruitment strategies to align with and meet key business priorities and firm-wide talent strategy.  The incumbent may manage client areas that span multiple business lines or one large business unit with multiple departments within.  Works with the business to ensure an in-depth knowledge of the department, skills and abilities required to perform the role being recruited. Works with mid-level management to develop, implement and adjust recruiting strategy for primarily entry to mid-level niche roles. Evaluates unique recruiting sources for each search. Maintains a strong understanding of key priorities and strategies within the business lines supported.  Conveys the business logic of recruiting recommendations based on understanding of key business drivers. Works with the HR Generalist team to provide seamless collaboration to the client regarding their recruitment needs.
  • Builds trusted client relationships through building a strong targeted pipeline of talent for the business.  Sources, pre-screens, and interviews internal and external applicants for niche roles across the Services organization. Sourcing often consists of extensive candidate development, networking, use of social media sites and tools to identify qualified diverse talent for roles with complex or niche skill sets.  Via the screening process, determines if candidates meet the requirements of a role.  Recommends candidates to hiring manager for interview. Consults with hiring manager and key decision makers on hiring decision. Recommends candidates for employment, influences offer package, works with the Compensation Team on offers and extends/negotiates offers.  Works with business lines and HR Generalist and compensation to prepare non-standard offers. Given the nature of the complex or strategic positions this position is recruiting for, there are often offer package negotiations that may require the Recruiter to lead negotiations with candidates.  Provides oversight that all data is captured in the applicant/requisition management system for all requisition/candidate activity.
  • Identifies opportunities and works to improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process.  Participates in recruiting related and additional HR projects/initiatives; stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in the local markets.
  • Acts as primary liaison with contingency and retained search firms, universities, diversity organisations, etc., related to site recruitment.  Responsible for researching, identifying and assisting the business with selecting appropriate search firm and then managing ongoing relationship and results.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Minimum of four years of recruiting experience with a combination of agency and in-house experience preferred
  • Strong technical competency with recruiting including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment
  • Excellent knowledge of direct sourcing channels with strong competence using LinkedIn Recruiter and various data bases
  • Strong negotiation and candidate management skills
  • Possesses excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing the full hiring lifecycle including assessments and onboarding
  • Financial services experience is required with a preference for Investment Management
  • Strong computer skills, internet and social media savvy, and experience with candidate databases/talent acquisition systems
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels within an organisation and to work in a fast pace, professional environment
  • Strong consultative skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong initiative and good judgment skills.  Must be resourceful
