The GM IT COO will have responsibility for leading and managing divisional
Operational and administrative aspects of the GM Technology (GTS) organization.
Responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day running of the Global Markets Technology Operation a nd also has responsibility for strategic business planning, programme management, budgeting, resource management, organizational performance, procurement, communications, and management reports. Recommends objectives, policies, and plans for these areas with to the GM CIO and other senior executives of the firm. Partners with the other Corporate functions and business entity COO have to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and / or control. A key member of the EMEA Global Technology extended l eadership t eam. A s easoned leader with extensive business experience, stakeholder management and product knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities
The Global GM IT COO will lead all risk, control and special projects and internal administrative operations and will have the following responsibilities:
  • Develop, and direct the execution of operating policies to support overall division objectives.
  • Working in partnership with the EMEA GTS and GM management team, participate with strategic planning and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it.
  • Assist in the management of strategic programs, inclusive of associated financial and business planning activities
  • Oversee general risk oversight activities; inclusive of regulatory and audit engagement oversight, and compliance activities
  • Oversee Business Assurance Tasks
    • IT Risk Management
    • BCP/DR
    • Incident and crisis management
  • Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide analytical insights alongside senior management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities.
  • In collaboration with the Global GM CIO, plan and coordinate financial and business planning, and execute the annual budget process.
  • Develop, and direct the execution of operating policies and operating model designs to support overall division objectives.
  • Manage and direct regular budget activities and financial performance targets.
  • Working in partnership with the Senior GM IT and GTS leaders, participate with strategic planning and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it.
  • Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals.
  • Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to improve general management and administrative procedures, operational support services.
  • Provide analytical insights alongside senior management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities.
  • Oversee preparation of annual operating budget and divisional performance objectives to the MC and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
  • Oversee the management of divisional human resource activities, including recruiting and hiring, performance evaluations, policies and procedures and other related responsibilities.

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, Business focused Masters or other advanced degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
  • 15+ years of financial services experience with a large financial services firm or advisory/consulting firm including experience as an internal auditor and or public accountant
  • Broad-based experience focused in a business management role (COO/CAO/COS) or programs and project management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels within the organization on a global basis
