Senior Consultant -- Regulatory Reporting Specialist

Message Automation is the leading specialist provider of Post Trade Control solutions. We help clients manage the multiple trade processing challenges created by new regulations and market practices across all asset classes in OTC, ETD and FI markets.

Basic Purpose of the Role:

* Initially to work on various existing Regulatory Reporting projects, helping to deliver Message Automation's Regulatory Reporting solution, futureLANDSCAPE, by various regulatory deadlines.

* To assist the technical consultants and clients understand the configuration requirements across all asset classes for multi-jurisdictional regulatory reporting.

* Maintain and manage our relationship with the various Global Trade Repositories, especially the DTCC.

* To establish, build and maintain excellent working relationships with our global clients in order to facilitate a positive and productive business relationship whilst ensuring that all their requirements are addressed promptly and professionally.

* To be able to assist with mapping data from various sources/formats to other destinations/formats. This normally involves retrieving data, transforming it and sending the results to a given destination

Job Responsibilities:

The successful role holder will assist in

* Assist in the writing and review of production of functional specifications (FSDs)
* Business testing of futureLANDSCAPE and insideTRACK
* Pre and post-implementation support and remediation of identified reporting issues
* Monitoring and resolution of reporting exceptions and rejections, internal and external reconciliations and data assurance checks
* Identification and escalation of late reporting to all key internal stakeholders
* To co-ordinate and actively participate in client meetings
* To track issues/requests and monitor progress through to successful completion using JIRA system
* To keep abreast of regulatory reporting changes and share knowledge with clients and internally
* To be able to use MA's toolkit to:
* Retrieve data, e.g. some XML from a queue
* Retrieve other data related to the primary data, e.g. some SQL against a database
* Convert the data into some other format, e.g. CSV
* Place the results of the conversion at a configurable location, e.g. write to a JMS queue, write to a file system.


* Proven proficiency in managing large volumes of client enquiries
* Experienced and passionate about driving high client satisfaction results and overall client advocacy
* Self-initiated to gain the knowledge necessary to perform job duties at a high level in a changing environment
* Solution oriented with analytical problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills - confident and articulate
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain performance under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Knowledge of Complex XML
* Oracle or SQL Server

Desirable attributes:

* Typically requires at least 2-3 years of experience in client service role
* Demonstrable Regulatory Reporting experience gained from an investment bank or solution provider
* Strong business knowledge of EMIR, Dodd Frank etc
* Strong business knowledge of asset classes and products within
* Ability to interact and raise issues on behalf of our clients with the Trade Reporting Repositories
* Sound knowledge of:

* XML Schema
* CSV layout
* FpML
* Javascript
* Other databases
* JMS Queuing technologies (particularly IBM MQ Series)
