The Emerging Markets IT group is responsible for providing front office technology products to sales and trading desks across the globe. Based across London, New York, Moscow and Pune, our team's objective is to deliver innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and competitiveness of our business users. We are a true "horizontal" group covering the key areas of risk, pricing, etrading, trade capture and compliance.
We are currently looking for a passionate software developer with relevant experience to join the X-Ray Development team. The X-Ray Dev team is responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining X-Ray Publisher - a strategic marking tool for FID, providing a rich set of pricing, supervisory and audit capabilities. It ensures that EOD marking is executed in a safe and consistent manner across all business lines and products.
The application is undergoing a number of significant strategic changes which the successful candidate will actively engage in either independently or as part of a group:
- Overhauling of multiple legacy WPF applications onto robust, highly responsive HTML5 components using a state of the art UI framework developed in-house.
- As part of the above, help integrate an external bond static publishing tool written in WPF into the X-Ray eco-space.
- Successful migration of server-side components onto micro-services hosted on OpenShift.
- Migration of the messaging layer from Tibco EMS to Apache Kafka.
- Ongoing development of new requirements directly requested by the business within X-Ray.
This role is open to discussion regarding flexible/ agile working. You Offer Required Skills:
- Proficient in writing concurrent programs in any language
- Web development – ReactJS, TypeScript
- Knowledge or experience with Vertx
- Knowledge of fixed income instruments and their pricing
