Fletcher George is recruiting a Part-Time Senior Accountant for a friendly and well-established independent accountancy practice in Weybridge.



Reduced hours are actively welcomed, with considerable flexibility over how the 15-30 hours are structured. Hybrid working is also available, with the precise arrangement to be discussed with the successful candidate. Although the firm's preference is to appoint someone on a part-time basis, full-time applications may also be considered.

The Role



You will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, managing the day-to-day accounting requirements and developing trusted relationships with your clients.



Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105


• Preparing quarterly management accounts for some clients


• Preparing and reviewing quarterly VAT returns


• Managing deadlines across your client portfolio


• Acting as a regular point of contact for clients


• Supporting clients using cloud-based accounting systems, including Xero and QuickBooks


• Working closely with the Partners to deliver a responsive and high-quality client service

Experience using IRIS or CCH would be advantageous.



This role does not include payroll responsibilities.




About You



You will be ACA or ACCA qualified, or an experienced accountant who is qualified by experience, with a background gained within an accountancy practice.



You will be confident preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT returns for owner-managed businesses. You will also enjoy working directly with clients and taking responsibility for managing your own portfolio and deadlines.
