Sr. Manager, Trade Finance
Global Trade Finance is a critical element of our complete bank client relationship and an important component of our international business and growth strategy and initiatives. We offer risk mitigation and financing products to our client base to satisfy their financial needs and help them succeed financially. Client solutions include Traditional Trade Finance Products such as Commercial (Import and Export) Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections and related Financing solutions including Bankers Acceptances, Bills Discounting and Purchasing. There is a solid focus on maintaining strong customer relationships and solutioning their issues and problems balanced with a strong risk mitigation and compliance driven culture and environment. There is also a robust emphasis on risk identification, governance, proactive monitoring, escalation and making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit risk appetite and compliance program requirements.



  1. In depth knowledge of the Traditional Trade Products - Commercial Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Bankers Acceptances and Financing Solutions

  2. Supply Chain Finance Products knowledge is a plus and preferred

  3. Strategic thinking and demonstrated analytical skills

  4. Proven leadership and coaching skills; ability to lead and influence others

  5. Strong leadership and technical expertise in managing day-to-day activities and workflows

  6. Ability to Develop and implement objectives, policies and procedures for Trade Finance

  7. Proven capability to direct, train and motivate subordinates to perform to consistently high standards in a team environment

  8. Strong sense of ownership

  9. Ability to ensure effective delivery processes with a view to warrant smooth workflow, achieve efficiency and cost benefits

  10. Proven analytical and decision making skills

  11. A good team player and ability to work effectively in a team environment

  12. Independent, self-motivated, high energy, able to succeed in a fast-paced environment

  13. Excellent communication skills with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities

  14. Ability to develop advisory relationships with clients, stakeholders and business partners

  15. Proven track record of results-oriented performance; building and influencing strategic relationship

  16. Proven ability to establish, develop and manage relationships to help understand and manage the business and personal factors that influence decision making

  17. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure

  18. Knowledge of project management, process reengineering and change management

  19. Ability to execute projects related to Trade Finance, ensure their timely completion, achievement of objectives and cost efficiencies

  20. Excellent customer focus and service, verbal and written, and interpersonal skills


  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting or equivalent relevant discipline

  2. 8 years or more of experience in Trade Finance

  3. 5 years or more in management or supervisory experience

  4. Knowledge of UCP600; ISP98; URC522; URDG758; URR725; ISBP; INCOTERMS

  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  6. Good command of written and spoken English

  7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
