Responsibilities

CIT Real Estate Finance is currently seeking a VP - Underwriting who will:

  • Underwrite commercial real estate loans including bridge, construction and terms loans for multi-family, office, retail, industrial, and hotel properties.
  • Draft term sheets and interact with brokers and other market participants to assist in originating new business.
  • Complete credit approval memos and submission for approval.
    Manage transaction closing process including review of property due diligence and legal documentation.
  • Assist in portfolio management of loans post origination, including modifications, quarterly and annual reviews.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Must possess knowledge of financial modeling and real estate valuation; should possess strong Argus and Excel modeling skills
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present risks & mitigants of a transaction
  • Must be an experienced professional with 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance
