Better requires process, discipline, and simplification
We'll be looking to you to be a key member of the team that identifies any potential risks to Western Union and our customers. Your role will be vital in the implementation and enhancement of analytical tools for programming and or anatomizing data analysis tasks including statistical analysts and modelling. With the use of research and analysis, you will identify and escalate suspicious activity while also supporting the wider Compliance team in ensuring our controls and procedures are effective against future high risk and fraudulent activities and help support a more Compliance-conscious environment.

For such a pivotal role, you should have experience in analyzing large data sets with some experience with or aptitude and desire to learn SQL or Snowflake. You'll be proficient working in Excel; sorting, filtering, formatting, and analyzing data. Advanced statistical analysis and modelling are highly desired as well as experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau. You will have a strong ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders while maintaining high attention to detail and organizational skills. With the vast amount of data requiring in depth evaluation, you will need to be an excellent communicator, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English is required for the role any other languages would be a plus.

The annual gross base salary range is $63,300.46-104,650.38. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
