Senior Product Specialist II
Senior Product Specialist (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Burlington, Massachusetts )(multiple openings): will work as a member of Scrum team leading the overall quality planning and execution for one of Charles River's products and will provide support and assistance to customers, team members, and other teams within Charles River. Specific duties include: working closely with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, developers, business analysts and other project team members to assist in carrying out the software quality responsibilities of the Scrum team; creating comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specifications documents; executing manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests; independently creating and maintaining automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing; documenting software defects in the issue tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members; providing testing leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement in the Scrum team's QA methodology; adhering to a testing schedule to ensure efficient and effective product delivery; actively participating in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; participating in group testing activities as needed; and guiding and mentoring junior staff in proper creation and planning of test processes.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; and 6 years of experience in software testing in a process driven technology environment.
Must have: Total years of experience listed above must include at least 5 years working with an Agile development methodology; demonstrated experience in the financial industry with Trading applications that include Order Management, Execution management, Portfolio Management and Compliance; demonstrated expertise with Fixed Income products that includes Mortgage securities, TBAs, REPOs, Bank Loans, Money Markets Instruments; proven knowledge of back office systems including Geneva and SWIFT; experience with Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol as it pertains to connectivity, certification and trouble-shooting; hands-on experience working with FIX Messages such as market data, trade execution, quote request/response and post trade messaging; demonstrated experience managing a comprehensive library of test scripts in SilkCentral and implementation and execution of automated testing with SilkTest; demonstrated experience using test cases, scripts, and automated test tools for verifying requirements on multi-tier applications; and demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical test plans.
