BNY Mellon Collateral Management systems are deemed vital in supporting the global market infrastructure to ensure that over USD 1 trillion of exposures are collateralised on a daily basis. BNY Mellon offers solutions to collateral receivers who are seeking operational efficiency, while reducing investments in back-office infrastructure and technology. We oversee the independent determination of securities’ eligibility and value, including the application of “haircuts” and concentration limits, to monitor the collateralisation of each trade from inception to maturity. We work directly with the collateral provider to coordinate the delivery, receipt and substitution of eligible collateral efficiently.

Our collateral management systems are connected to multiple global market participants. We collateralise a wide range of exposures from traditional repo and securities lending transactions to secured note programmes and Initial Margin Segregation programmes.
Throughout the term of each tri-party collateral transaction, BNY Mellon safe keeps collateral and provides services such as matching trade instructions, settlement & valuation of cash and securities (receipt & delivery), daily mark-to-market, margin calls/return of surplus collateral, collateral substitutions, transaction & exposure reporting. All of these services use the various collateral management systems that are supported by the Collateral Management Service team within Broker Dealer Services Technology.

Assist in defining the project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for various projects, large and small
Provide guidance in the development of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation;
Provide support in implementation/conversion/client on boarding strategy planning and gap analysis
Mange scope and change throughout the initiative utilizing formal change control and requirements traceability;
Gather and analyse information and provide recommendations to address strategic business objectives that span Domestic and global business and technology areas
The individual will be working with colleagues, business and technology, from US and India.

Specialist Business Analysis Consultant->> Analyzes, defines and prioritizes the business requirements, functional specifications and operational architecture for up to and including highly complex strategic, global programs. Provides consultation to IT and business management on applying technology to business opportunities and planning and implementing cross-functional applications or systems. May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project. Elicits, challenges, and prioritizes requirements using standard processes and templates, and translates into functional design and use case documents. Develops project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for a given large, strategic, multi-year project. Participates and provides guidance in development of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation. Consults internal business groups on requirements, functional architecture and implementation. Tracks scope and change throughout the remainder of the initiative utilizing formal requirements management principles, including change control and requirements traceability. Gathers and analyzes information to assist in development of recommendations to address strategic business objectives that span multiple, global business and technology areas. Participates in industry forums and keeps current on domain knowledge for their specific business and application areas of expertise. Applies experiences with existing software and/or systems development processes to develop better processes to be used in the future. Actively influences software development process improvement initiatives. Provides senior level consultation to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their business results. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
More than 8 years working experience as a Business Analyst
Excellent analytical / problem solving skills
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Hands on technical ability will be a key differentiator
Proficient with MS Project, MS-Visio, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint
Prior experience working in collateral management and clearance domain is a strong plus
Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred, 6-8 years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
