Senior Analyst, Corporate Actions
The Corporate Actions associate will be primarily responsible for timelyand accurately processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions onsecurities held by our clients. Associate will be responsible for thedaily processing of various Corporate Actions events (tender offers, elections,death puts, rights offerings, proxy, consent offers) as well as the reconcilement, monitoring and posting ofentitlements to client accounts. Balances entitlements and processes liabilitynotices, dividend and interest payments, and class action suits.
Supports and completes basic client inquiries and requests.May assist others with more complex requests. Reconciles client holdings versusagent holdings to ensure accurate corporate action transaction processing.Ensures all relevant documentation and recordkeeping is maintained within eventfiles.
Responsible for reviewing cash reconciliations, security andsuspense transactions reviews adhering to established quality control measuresand procedures. Responsible for researching and responding to inquiries frominternal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, InvestmentManagers, sub custodians and/or custodians. Works on multiple systems toperform corporate action processing, including creating and scrubbingannouncements, sending client instructions to third parties, and, postingonline cash and security transactions. Serves as a resource for lessexperienced staff, expected to have an understanding of all corporate actionprocedures, corporate action events and market practices.
Candidate should be able to work wellindependently and as part of a team and possess excellent communicationskills. Candidate must be organized and detail oriented with stronganalytical skills; and be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced,high-risk environment while maintaining a professional manner. Bachelors degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in financial services or corporate actions preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
