The Boston Company, Standish, and Mellon Capital, is seeking a Senior Performance Measurement Analyst who will be involved in analyzing the performance of complex domestic and global strategies. The Senior Performance Measurement Analyst shall possess knowledge of the firm's most complex strategies, including Long/Short, Global Alpha and Hedge Funds, and the ability to conduct in-depth discussions with client service associates, portfolio managers and trading staff within the firm. This position will lead key projects and initiatives for the department as well as train and develop other analysts in areas of risk analysis, performance measurement and attribution. Responsibilities include: Calculation and delivery of accurate and timely Performance Measurement reports for long/short equity, global alpha overlay, credit fault swap, and other portfolios invested in traditional and derivative securities. Act as a business representative and project manager for all cross departmental projects. The Senior Performance Analyst will work with the Performance Manager to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently within the team. Working with junior analysts to problem solve and provide training in the following areas: performance methodology, the firm's performance application and supporting systems (PACE, Bloomberg, Portia, Vestek, Analyzer, Ambrosia), Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
The qualified candidate will possess a BA/BS degree along with 5+ years experience in the investment industry. CPIM or CFA charter holder preferred. Incumbent should have experience with Composite reporting in compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS); experience with spreadsheets, macros and performance measurements/attribution systems; thorough knowledge of financial markets, investment vehicles and strategies; aptitude for quantitative analysis/problem solving; strong attention to detail; excellent organizational skills and a high work ethic.
