What will you be doing?
As a Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary within our Actuarial Risk and Capital team, you'll play a key role in helping Unum understand, manage and optimise its capital position. You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders across Finance and the wider business, analysing experience, supporting capital modelling and helping shape the assumptions that underpin key business decisions.

• Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of risk and capital methodologies, processes and controls.

• Support a range of change initiatives, strategic projects and capital-related developments across the business.

• Collaborate with colleagues across Finance, Risk and the wider organisation to deliver actuarial insight and business value.

• Present complex actuarial findings in a clear and accessible way to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management.

• Provide guidance, coaching and support to actuarial students, helping contribute to the development of future talent within the team.

• Continuously challenge existing approaches and identify opportunities to improve methodologies, efficiency and effectiveness.
