We are seeking a visionary Director with deep expertise in AI engineering and geospatial technologies to join our AI for Sustainability & Infrastructure team. This opportunity is ideal for leaders with a strong background in advanced geospatial analytics-including ESRI's ArcGIS platform, Google Earth, CARTO, and other enterprise and open-source geospatial technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategy for AI and geospatial solutions within key industrial sectors, focusing on the application of ESRI's ArcGIS platform (including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise), Google Earth, CARTO technology, and advanced geospatial datasets (satellite, hyperspectral, LIDAR, etc.).
• Solution Development & Integration: Identify market opportunities, design new service offerings, and drive the integration of geospatial intelligence into sustainability initiatives. Lead the adoption and customization of ESRI's suite of tools for spatial analysis, data visualization, and geoprocessing, and ensure seamless interoperability with other AI and machine learning platforms (such as Python-based AI frameworks, cloud-based ML services, and custom analytics pipelines).
• AI-Driven Geospatial Innovation: Architect and implement solutions that combine ESRI/ArcGIS capabilities with advanced AI tools for predictive modeling, pattern recognition, and automated geospatial data processing. Champion the use of APIs, SDKs, and connectors to integrate ArcGIS with platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Google Earth Engine, and cloud-native AI services.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of AI engineers, geospatial analysts, and consultants, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Project Management: Oversee complex, multi-stakeholder projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, providing thought leadership, and identifying new opportunities for geospatial and AI-driven transformation.
• Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of AI, geospatial, and sustainability trends by engaging in research, attending industry events, and contributing to thought leadership through publications and presentations.

Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience in AI engineering and geospatial analytics, with hands-on expertise in ESRI's ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise) and Google earth engine including spatial analysis, geoprocessing, web mapping, and integration with external data sources.
• Demonstrated ability to use tools (both open source and packaged) for advanced geospatial modelling, visualization, and the development of custom geospatial applications.
• Proven experience integrating geospatial models and outputs with other AI and machine learning tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Google Earth Engine, cloud-based AI services), including the use of APIs, SDKs, and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in integrating and analyzing data from Google Earth, CARTO technology platforms, and advanced geospatial datasets (satellite imagery, hyperspectral data, LIDAR, etc.).
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing AI-driven geospatial strategies and solutions.

Essential Experience

• Significant experience (typically 15+ years) and eminence in sustainability-linked geospatial technology programmes (e.g., location intelligence, energy yield analysis, physical risk intelligence,).
• Proven ability to shape, lead and govern architecture for major transformation programmes.
• Demonstrated success in influencing C-suite stakeholders and leading major bid, pursuit and account strategies.
• Strong track record of managing cross-functional teams and building capability across technology, architecture and engineering communities.

Sustainability Expertise

• Strong literacy in ESG, geo-enhanced net-zero strategy, sustainable operations, and climate-related risk.
• Demonstrable experience driving sustainability technology programmes and teams either in an industry or consulting leadership role.
• Experience embedding sustainability metrics into AI and geospatial architecture and technology delivery.
