Junior Claims Broker - Marine War

I am working with a highly ambitious and growing Lloyd's Broker that is looking to appoint a Junior Claims Broker into its Marine War team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a second jobber who has gained their initial experience within London Market claims and is now looking for a role that offers increased responsibility, exposure and long-term career progression.

Previous Marine War experience is not essential.

Candidates with existing Marine or War claims experience would naturally be of interest, however the client is equally open to Junior Claims Technicians or Claims Technicians from any class of business. The key is having a strong technical foundation, good ECF knowledge and the right attitude and personality to develop.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the handling of Marine War claims
• Processing claims through ECF
• Claims Bordereaux processing and management
• Technical claims processing and administration
• Maintaining accurate claims documentation and records
• Working closely with experienced claims brokers and the wider team
• Taking greater ownership of claims as experience develops
• Longer-term exposure to client meetings and the wider broking process

The ideal candidate:

• Previous claims experience within the Lloyd's or London Market
• Ideally at Junior Claims Technician / Claims Technician level
• Good working knowledge of ECF
• Experience with Claims Bordereaux processing
• Open to candidates from any class of business
• Proactive, personable and confident
• Someone willing to go above and beyond and take ownership
• Ambitious and looking to progress their career within claims
