Drive Digital Change That Improves Lives - Join the Board of a Leading Social Care Charity
Alternative Futures Group (AFG) supports around 900 people across the North West, delivering personalised support that enables independence, dignity and belonging. As expectations around technology, data and digital capability rise, AFG is committed to modernising systems, strengthening digital resilience and ensuring technology becomes an enabler of outstanding care.
We are now seeking a
Digital Transformation, Data & Technology Trustee to help shape our digital future and ensure innovation supports both operational excellence and person-centred outcomes.
This role is about more than technology. It is about understanding how digital capability transforms organisations, improves decision-making and strengthens services for the people who draw upon them.
You will bring experience leading significant digital, technology or transformation programmes within a complex organisation, alongside:
- Technical credibility paired with strategic insight
- Experience of digital transformation, enterprise applications or data architecture
- Understanding of cyber security, information governance and digital risk
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and constructively
- Curiosity, independence and a commitment to improving lives
AFG does not currently have an Executive-level CIO or CTO, giving this Trustee a unique opportunity to influence direction while maintaining clear governance boundaries. Your contribution will help ensure technology becomes a driver of impact, not just a supporting function.
We welcome candidates from a wide range of sectors including health, social care, housing, education, professional services, outsourced public services and the private sector. We also encourage applications from people who may not see themselves as "typical trustees" - diverse perspectives strengthen our Board and improve decision-making.
